Our reading unit continued this week with more exposure to different biographies. We are reading about different people's lives and completing timelines, as well as putting major life events of a person in order (for more, see our Social Studies page).
Students have already begun, or will shortly begin to write a biography about one of their classmates.
We also continue practicing writing friendly letters.

Our grammar lesson focused on the special sounds that we have in the English language that require more than the regular s to make them plural. These words require "es." The four special sounds are: s, sh, ch, and x. For example:
I have one box but I need a lot of boxes to pack my house.

Our spelling pattern this week focused on using the or sound in words. For example: fork, storm, and morning.
