This week was exciting as we were building up to the Thanksgiving break. Students continued to finish up their assignments with persuasive writing, trying to convince others that their teacher lives (or doesn't live) at school, why Farmer Mack Nugget should save the turkeys instead of eating them (from The Night Before Thanksgiving), and answering more Would You Rather cards.
In reading, we concentrated on several different stories about The First Thanksgiving, as well some poetry by Jack Prelutsky. We discussed what we like to eat for Thanksgiving, and learned about what our friends are looking forward to eating too!
Some classes did some reading about Turkeys, and completed a KWL chart about them. They read some non fiction about turkeys and then completed their own mini KWL chart.

There was no spelling or grammar lesson this week, but it will continue when we return from the break.
