We continue working on biographies (for more, please check out the Social Studies page) by building interviewing skills, and writing a biography about one of our classmates.
Some classes are also doing research about a particular person, like Benjamin Franklin, Jane Goodall, and Rosa Parks.
The children have also been writing a lot about space, both in their science journals and through other activities.

This week our spellers practiced the -al sound, as in always. They learned that sometimes this sound can have two l's that are back to back like in the word tall.
Our grammar lesson for the week focused on antonyms. Antonyms are words with opposite meanings such as big and small, black and white, or happy and sad.
