Homecoming!
Homecoming is a wonderful tradition that is tied to the beginning of the football season. This afternoon and evening we will have two homecoming games at Village (middle, and high school), along with crowning the homecoming King and Queen.
One of the ways Texans show their homecoming spirit is by wearing what we call "mums", which is short for chrysanthemum, a type of flower. Now-a-days, we do not wear real flowers, instead decorating a fake one with ribbons and toys. Some of our students and teachers purchases mums to show their school spirit!

Another thing we do to get pumped up for the homecoming games is listen to the drum line march through the school playing their music. The kids were very excited to hear the drums, and meet some football players!
